Otto Merida Desert Villas is a 60-unit Public Housing / LIHTC community for families located on East Charleston Blvd. at the intersection of Interstate 95 in Las Vegas. All of the units at Otto Mérida Desert Villas are set aside as incentive housing for current public housing residents who are working, going to school, or taking part in other economic self-sufficiency efforts. Otto Mérida Desert Villas located in Ward 3 consists of 27-two bedroom, 30 three-bedroom and 3 four-bedroom detached single-family and duplex rental units, each with its own one-car garage, organized on an 8-acre site. The development includes a Clubhouse and many outdoor activities. The low-density design mirrors ownership housing in the surrounding neighborhood and redefines the image of public housing in Las Vegas.
